She sent it to me because I am a SAHM to our two kids, and I'm a pastor, and my husband is a pastor, too. We recently moved to a new state for his new call. Thanks for your thoughtful writing. It's encouraging to now there are other clergy moms out there taking some time out for childrearing.! Blessings to you and your family.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14493738169675600864noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6852205750171360137.post-78544602516948521832011-01-20T11:37:27.591-08:002011-01-20T11:37:27.591-08:00Hi Danielle, thanks for the comment. Living in North Dakota, most of my support came from friends on the internet.

Isn't it amazing how much we change when we become mothers? It's not this overnight change, in my experience, but a slow morphing into someone new. I think my daughter has been so good for me...she has changed my priorities in such a great way, and made my world so much bigger and more beautiful...

Not to say there aren't days, of course...;-)Rebeccahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02614822971755761394noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6852205750171360137.post-30861531692019776382011-01-20T10:45:43.728-08:002011-01-20T10:45:43.728-08:00Hey Rebecca, this is Danielle(Chris's 2nd cous...Hey Rebecca, this is Danielle(Chris's 2nd cousin) and it's crazy how much alike we are in terms of our growing up and what we THOUGHT we wanted out of life. I am now also a very happy SAHM and can't imagine missing out on all the moments in her life. Very courageous of you to share such intimate feelings about motherhood and the lack of wanting to be one before you were...I've always felt like no one ever got that part of me.darlinglifehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11671378923015170689noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6852205750171360137.post-78928128970711870572011-01-19T12:36:15.321-08:002011-01-19T12:36:15.321-08:00Thanks April and Tim for the encouragement. There are moments in life when things seem bleak and empty but it's amazing how God brings you through those rough times to a place of hope and new life that you didn't see as possible.Rebeccahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02614822971755761394noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6852205750171360137.post-87195040871890449392011-01-19T12:35:24.392-08:002011-01-19T12:35:24.392-08:00Hi again, Tessa. We'll see what the future holds, but right now I am loving the present.

And I'll try to post about "Burrito" by next week.Rebeccahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02614822971755761394noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6852205750171360137.post-13023454989135374122011-01-18T17:42:15.606-08:002011-01-18T17:42:15.606-08:00A moving story...

There is no shame in changing what your view was of ministry for you. There are many opportunities not being full-time at the church. It sounds like medicially and emotionally that this was a great move for you. I hope it continues going better. Now, what are you calling your little cutie burrito??? lolAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09530552994987203713noreply@blogger.com
